MISSY TRAVEL: TOKYO
Our new feature, MISSY TRAVEL, spotlights sacred destinations for those wanderlusters in-the-know. Each time, we will feature a class-act destination and offer up our top 5 must-sees, tried and tested by the Missy team ourselves. Quite fitting then that we kick off our first ever feature with the city of magic, Tokyo.
This is probably the closest you’ll ever be to Japanese royalty and we’d say a prayer to that. A popular wedding venue, you’ll likely see a traditional wedding procession through the courtyard. Surrounding the shrine is Yoyogi Park which like all things Japanese, is meticulously kept and well worth a visit.1-1 Yoyogikamizonocho, Shibuya

We are literally OBSESSED with this Japanese label’s footwear. Founded by designer Asuka Furuta, Toga’s cult status within the fashion industry is unwavering with their unique hardware and achingly cool designs. Their store is tucked away in a narrow alley just off Omotesando.6-31-10 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku
We’ve all debated this: is waking up at 3am to go to the fish market to wait in line for the 6am tuna auction worth it? Our answer is NO. We were so tired after the 15 minute auction the rest of the day was a write-off. We suggest just heading down to the fish market at a respectable hour and eating at one of the restaurants, they are all delicious! We’ve heard that the market might be relocating soon in preparation for the 2020 Olympics, so be sure to check before you go!5 Chome-2-1 Tsukiji, Chuo
